Dena’s interest in a senior care career started while she was
still in college, working as a caregiver and nutrition assistant at
an assisted living facility in Wisconsin. 

That inspiring experience led her to seek an academic program that
would allow her to use her heart for caring and her head for
business—and a health care administration degree offered the
perfect balance.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire,
Dena served as administrator of a continuing care campus
serving residents across the full continuum. Now as Area Director for
AgeRight Clinical Services, she leads a team of clinicians who
provide care in skilled nursing, assisting living and memory care
facilities state-wide.

Outside of work, Dena enjoys spending time in nature hiking,
backpacking and snowboarding. She also
volunteers twice a week at We Belong PDX, and actively supports
the Vital Life Foundation.
